Q. Do you pour your own candles?
A. Yes, I do! I hand pour each candle product to order.
Q. How do you develop the fragrances?
A. I gain inspiration from the books that I read – whether my favorites or books recommended by customers – and come up with ideas that I think honor the story/character. I work with fragrance oils to find the right blend for the candle. If you see the term “Book Scents exclusive scent” that means I specifically blended two or more fragrance oils to create an exclusive scent you won’t find anywhere else.
Q. How long does it take to get my candles?
A. Depending on the amount of orders I receive over period of time, it can take from 3 – 7 days to receive your candles. I try to complete orders as quickly as possible because I understand that everyone likes to have their items as soon as possible. However, with the nature of hand poured items, there is some time needed to create your candle to include dry time. I want to be sure you get the best product possible, so it may take an extra day or two ensure that end result.

A. Book Scents now offers The Writer’s Block™ by Book Scents program. The TWB program is a unique offering that brings the reader closer to your books on a SENSORY level that no pen or bookmark can do!
Q. I ordered a candle from you in the past, but I don’t see it your shop. What do I do?
A. Please contact me and let me know what you are looking for. Often times, if demand isn’t high for a product I’ll remove it from my shop. However, I usually still have the fragrance oil needed to make the product.
Q. Do I need to create a profile to make a purchase in your store?
A. No. You can make purchases as a guest if you prefer.
Q. Do you ship directly to a gift recipient?
A. Absolutely! When you are checking out please check the box to ship to a different address and let me know it’s a gift in the note section under the address blocks.
Q. Do you ship outside of the U.S.?
A. Yes. Please visit my shipping policies page to learn more about costs and policies related to shipping in the U.S. and Internationally.
Q. Do you still sell on Etsy?
A. I will keep a small collection of candles on Etsy. However, I will have the most robust offerings in my website shop.
